The Chieftain Hotel is frequently praised for its spacious family rooms that are well-equipped, and many guests appreciate the complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms. The convenient location near Inverness town centre and a short walk from the train station is often highlighted, as is the on-site parking. Some guests have noted that the hotel appears a bit dated, but the good breakfast and enjoyable food at the sports bar and restaurant, particularly the fajitas, are often mentioned as highlights.

friendly stafflittle water pressuredated look
The staff were very friendly. The food was AMAZING!!!
The shower was bad. There was little water pressure, and it switched from hot to cold constantly. I also felt that the hotel looks a bit dated and rugged. Windows wouldn't open properly to let fresh air in. I had to put the on the window ledge to keep it open.

slightly underwhelming stay

friendly staffdated decorsmall beds
the staff were friendly enough. i guess that counts for something.
the decor felt dated. the beds were surprisingly small. plus, the noise from both the bar downstairs and the street outside seemed to travel upwards, difficult to get a decent night's sleep. seriously, earplugs are a must.
